Http 301 redirection

I know this thread is a bit outdated but I had a very similar need as the original poster and
I found the solution.

You have to have the correct syntax for this to work. it needs to be addressed as follows

Example Redirect "oldcompany.com" to new "newcompany.com"

Under Domino Web site doc for "oldcompany" create a URL Redirect rule.

Incoming URL Pattern: \index.htm (DO NOT USE DOMAIN)
Redirect to this URL: http://www.newcompany.com/index.htm (MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE HTTP://)
Send 301 Redirect: check yes

Working great for us.
